According to the F.A.C.
64E-16 all employees exposed to bloodborne pathogens are required to receive
annual training on the following topics listed below.
The training will consist of reviewing the Biomedical Waste Plan in place and any changes that may have occurred. If a change takes place this will be reviewed immediately. The following is a list of various topics that will be discussed but is not limited to:

of biomedical waste
Biomedical waste (64E-16 F.A.C.) is any solid or
liquid waste which may present a threat of infection to humans. Examples include non liquid tissue and body
parts from humans, discarded sharps, and blood, blood products and body fluids
from humans.

Storage
requirements (30 day period)
All employees will sign off on their training record
in order to document the training sessions.
All employees observe universal precautions when handling biomedical
waste.
