Visible Emissions
We now are providing Visible Emissions testing (Method 9)
for all crematories. According to sections of federal law
40 CFR Part 60~61~62, all registered crematories have to be
tested annually for emissions being produced during the cremation
process.
The testing procedure will consist of witnessing the cremation
process and observing the emissions stack for the first hour.
Throughout the test, pictures will be taken of the emissions
point with a digital camera (which will be stored in our computers).
This is to ensure the tests integrity and help the crematory
in the event litigation is necessary. All pertinent information
required on the VE form is retrieved from a GPS and a mapping
website via the Internet. This is to ensure you are protected
to the highest degree.
This service will be provided when I am in your area providing
other services. The reason for this is to help keep my cost
down and pass this on to the funeral home or crematory. You
will be notified of the dates I will be in your area and if
you need to have a visible emissions test, we can arrange
a time at your convenience.
